Cracking on with my speaker install. Annoyingly there isnt a seperate speaker grill so the whole door card has to come off.
Old vs new:

You need these. They’re not cheap, but they’re a great, tasteful upgrade that looks OEM.

Manufacture’s advertiser’s love or MAX POWER ratings always makes me laugh.

Do you have adapters or are you just gonna screw them in regardless?

If they did they burn up almost immediately. The RMS power and efficiency, the figures that matter, are always not advertised and harder to find.

I’m really impressed by all this sound deadening is such an inexpensive car.

I got some in the pack with my speakers, not a fan tbh. I like to keep it looking stock.

They actually fit the factory housing really well because I measured everything beforehand, just had to bend two of the tabs around the surround.

The thing is silent until you pass 60mph because of all that. There’s thick rubber cladding on the firewall too. Surprised they managed to keep weight under 950kg even with all that.

I just went by reviews and what fit in the stock housings. These had good reviews and measured up perfectly, plus they were pretty cheap considering how good they sound.

I wasn’t knocking you at all, Pioneer makes very decent stuff in general.
I’ve had really good experience with pretty cheap store brand speakers. It’s amazing how much better, pretty much anything is than the factory speakers in inexpensive cars.

There is more sound deadening on this than there is on my truck (which cost $50k when it came out).

Oh I know I was just agreeing that ratings don’t mean a huge amount.
I thought about going cheaper but I managed to get 4 of these as a gift from my gf.

Yeah they really went all out. Probably to distract you from the rubbish noise the engine makes.

These ones were actually surprisingly easy. 5 screws and it unclipped without any broken clips.
